The 2008 Galafrey Wines Winter Dinner was another roaring success with about 100 people enjoying the night of good food and great wines. Galafrey rewarded all that came will the first releases of all the new 2008 white wines and new release 2005 Shiraz, 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon and the very limited release of 2006 Merlot. |

Galafrey remains family-owned business and all wines are grown, nurtured and bottled on the estate in Mount Barker WA. Established by Ian Tyrer (1946-2003). Galafrey Wines is survived by mother and daughter team, Linda and Kim Tyrer, who maintain a hands-on role to ensure that the Galafrey philosophy is upheld. |

We are consistently changing our famous vineyard platter to match seasonal produce available to us. How lucky are we, living here amongst all this lovely fresh fruits, vegetables, and a fresh trout farm down the road. We now include our Galafrey home made mustards to go with a double smoked ham. And our peach chardonnay chutney dip has had rave reviews from our lunchtime diners. Maybe next year, if we have a good season we will produce it for people to take home. |

SIZZLING SUMMER DOZEN
The days are getting longer and the chill of winter a distance memory. More friends dropping and we are out and about- BBQ, picnics, family gatherings, special events or just 'me' time. All that is missing is that lovely glass of cold white wine or some lovely bubbles- Galafrey, of course. So we have put together a special dozen of our finest whites at a special introduction price. |

The vineyard is a lovely sight with all the new shoots against the colourful backdrop of fields of yellow canola and fresh green grass. With the weather getting warmer and winter chills a distance memory, we are getting lots of visitors to the area, many staying for lunch on our wonderful verandahs. Our new winemaker Paul Nelson is settling in and spent the last couple of week doing barrel work and trials on our wooded chardonnay, shiraz and some special wines coming out before Christmas. |
