Delicious mouthful of fine elegant tannins, powerful blackcurrant aromas, cigar box with a hint of chocolate. It's well balance, complex with a long finish.

Great with rack of lamb, osso buco or a simple seared eye fillet of beef.

Masses of powerful and concentrated blackcurrant aromas dominate the bouquet. The palate has ample structure and finesse with firm ripe tannins mingling with concentrated fruit and plenty of oak. It's well balanced and deliciously easy to drink''

An expressive cool climate nose gave off green leaf tobacco, white pepper and oregano. Some classroom notes of pencil shavings, lead and Ribena. A light floral note finished off the nose. There was a light oxidated component poking through the blackcurrant and brambles. Distinct menthol on the end palate, with chewy tannins.�

Full red-purple in colour. Fairly fruit character although the fruit characters are indistinct on the wine. Sweet fruit from blackcurrant on the palate, oak evident with full flavour, fine tannin and a decent finish. Hints of earthiness showing.

This wine is starting to display some secondary fruit characteristics. The nose has red-berry, blackcurrant and herb/spicy aromas of medium intensity.

After five years this wine has developed a complex bouquet of mulberries, red currants, spice, tobacco and coffee. The long palate has fine tannins and lingering acidity but is a little hollow in the middle.
