drop in and try our wine.
Printing wine labels is an interesting process. For me the most interesting part is that as technology develops so does the process of printing of wine labels. For example Digital printing is new and Supa Stik have a great new machine ( one of the only ones in Australia) where they can digital print labels from start to finish on one machine. Much more efficient and less double handling. They now can emboss on ditigtal lables on a different machine and this opens up more options for me as a customer.
Our labels are printed with plates still because we have embossing and gold foil Plus a lovely paper grain style paper stock. All very expensive. I took some photo's when I was in Perth of the Prininting process.
This is where it starts loading paper stock into the machine.
This is the black ink printing of the label.
This is the label being feed into the Gold foil section of the machine. You can see the roll of Gold foil at the top.
Which you can see the gold foil on our logo part of label. Very Important.
This is the die cut part of the machine that cuts the label to shape.
This is the final product. It then goes to another machine were it is cut down to 3 rolls.
This machine test the durability of the label. ie how much tolerance to being repeatedly rubbed.
And this is our label. Check out the video of the printing label process here
